This WWE PPV is remarkable as there are many superstars that are together at once.

Royal Rumble is one of the four big PPV's with Survivor Series, SummerSlam and WrestleMania. The winner of the 30 Man Royal Rumble Match gets an opportunity for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania's Main Event.

#5. WWE Homecoming of Edge after 9 years

Edge retired in 2011 due to what was thought to be a career-ending injury. He's been an 11 time World Champion. In 2019, there were many rumors about Edge returning to the promotion. As the Royal Rumble of 2020 was close by, the rumors got stronger and stronger. But he was denying every possibility of him returning to the squared circle.

He eventually returned to the WWE at Royal Rumble in 2020 after nine years. Fans blew the roof off the stadium at Minute Maid Park. It was the biggest and most surprising return for fans in years and therefore it was one of the highlights of the night. The match card of WWE's Royal Rumble 2020 had many different stipulations in it. The match between Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin with the stipulation of 'Falls Count Anywhere' was unique as they brawled all over the stadium. Roman Reigns scored a victory against Corbin after delivering a spear on top of one of the Minute Maid Park dugouts in Houston.

Later the match between Fiend and Daniel Bryan was booked with the stipulation known as 'Strap Match' for the Universal Championship. This match was very hard-hitting as the Fiend completely destroyed Daniel Bryan and retained his Universal championship.

The final moments of the 30- Man Royal Rumble match were unexpected by the WWE Universe. The final four in the match were Edge, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, and Drew McIntyre. The newly returned Edge and Randy, formerly a team named Rated-RKO, decided to team up against Reigns and Drew.

But later, Edge betrays Orton and eliminates him only to be eliminated by Reigns. Drew subsequently eliminated Roman with a claymore kick and won the match. The finale of the event was crucial for WWE history as the climax of this was booked very substantially.

During 2020's Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar was the current WWE World Champion. Though he was the champion, he decided to enter the Royal Rumble match at No. 1.

In the match, he eliminated 13 Superstars: Elias, Rowan, Kofi Kingston, Keith Lee, Strowman, MVP, Morrison, Cesaro, Benjamin, Big E, Roode, Mysterio and Nakamura. Brock Lesnar's confrontation with Keith Lee, Braun Strowman and Big E was exceptional. He was later eliminated by Drew McIntyre.

Before this PPV, WWE pushed Drew McIntyre and defeated many big superstars like AJ Styles and Randy Orton. In the Royal Rumble match, he eliminated the champion of the time, Brock Lesnar and 5 other superstars. He won the Royal Rumble match after eliminating Reigns.

Later, Drew McIntyre defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 in the main event and won the WWE World Championship. Therefore, fans saw the rise of new stars which made this pay-per-view significant and memorable.
